Home / Online Learning / ACTIVITY CALENDAR From HRD Ministry

Schools are closed; and students are unable to attend school owing to the unprecedented circumstances we are living in now. But learning should go on. As schools have started teaching through online classes, students can continue their momentum of learning as per the curriculum calendar. In this new order of doing things, we have to unlearn and relearn how we have lived life. Teaching learning will now need to bank on a third partner – parents. Reiterating the importance of parents’ participation in students’ online learning, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has prepared a subject-wise Activity Planner for Primary Classes that will help parents take an active role in monitoring and supporting students’ learning process at home together with teachers via digital platforms. A similar calendar for senior students is in the offering.

Apart from generic guidelines and subject-specific activities, the calendar also includes detailed material on the use of different technological and social media tools that will help students manage stress and anxiety while they are at home. The guidelines also contain activities related to art education, health and physical education. References of many learning resources and textbooks have also been provided.
Let’s stay home, stay safe and keep learning.
